Prepare the base following standard paver installation practices.
Ensure the base depth allows the shock pad and artificial grass to be installed flush with the surrounding surface.
If there isn’t a frame around the perimeter of the grass installation area, prepare a frame around the grass installation using heavy-duty pressure treated wood.
1. Lay shock pad sheets down on top of the prepared base.
2. Do not seam the shock pads together, as this allows for proper drainage between individual shock pad sheets.
3. Using BondMark, glue the edges of the shock pad to the wood frame.
WARNING: DO NOT USE NAILS IN ANY INSTALLATION OF SHOCK PAD
1. Install the second layer of shock pad sheets perpendicular to the first layer.
For example, if the first layer is installed vertically, the second layer should be installed horizontally.
2. Do not glue the 1st layer and the 2nd layer together.
3. Using BondMark, glue the edges of the 2nd layer of shock pad to the wood frame.
1. Lay the artificial grass on top of the shock pad and pull the artificial grass taut.
2. If seaming 2 pieces of grass together, use TapeMark and BondMark.
3. Using BondMark, spot glue the grass to the shock pad every 6 inches or so.
4. Using BondMark, glue the edges of the grass to the wood frame.
1. Use 3 lbs of 20/40 silica sand infill per square foot.
WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE INFILL WHEN INSTALLING A SHOCK PAD BASE
